This course is the first step of learning in the MYOB Suite. It will give you a brief overview of the bookkeeping software.

  • Create a new data file for your business
  • Set up the Accounts list (Chart of Accounts)
  • Create cards for customer, supplier and employee records
  • Set up linked inventory items
  • Enter opening and historical balances
  • Perform an Initial Bank Reconciliation
  • Back up and restore data file
  • Process sales and record customer payments
  • Create adjustment notes for sales
  • Record purchases and record supplier payment
  • Spend money and make deposits
  • Record General Journal Entries
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Complete a bank reconciliation
  • Producing Business Activity Statements
  • Work with reports

Prerequisites

  • Basic computer skills
  • Moderate written and verbal English skills
  • Numeracy skills
  • Microsoft Windows experience
